Governor Wolf announced on July 16, 2020 the availability of $50M in grant funding through the COVID-19 PA Hazard Pay Grant Program. This program was established to help employers provide hazard pay to employees in life-sustaining occupations during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This reimbursement-based grant is available to employers offering hazard pay during the eligible program period and will be administered by the PA Department of Community & Economic Development. Applicants eligible to apply for grants are businesses, healthcare non-profits, public transportation agencies and certified economic development organizations (CEDOs).
Pocono Mountains Economic Development Corporation (PMEDC) is the CEDO serving Monroe County and will be collecting the required information from interested employers. The deadline to submit information to PMEDC to be included in the application is Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at 5:00 pm.
